Company news 2010

RAICO first system provider to offer façades in aluminium, timber, and steel certified according to passive house criteria.

RAICO Bautechnik had their complete façade system THERM+ evaluated by the Passive House Institute Dr Wolfgang Feist according to newest criteria, and received the passive house certificate for all three system variants. Thus RAICO currently is the only system provider who can offer passive-house certified façade systems in the variants aluminium, steel, and timber.

The passive house comfort criterium of UCW = 0,80 W/(m²K) is fulfilled by the mullion-and-transom façade systems THERM+ A-V (aluminium) and THERM+ S-I (steel) with system widths 50 mm and 56 mm, as well as THERM+ H-V (timber) with system widths 50, 56, and 76 mm.

At the fensterbau/frontale 2010 trade show at Nuremberg, the company’s two managing directors Rainer Voegele and Albert Inninger received the certificates from the hands of Dr.-Ing. Benjamin Krick of the Passive House Institute. ‘In the name of the Passive House Institute Dr Feist I congratulate RAICO Bautechnik warmly on this innovative performance.’, Dr.-Ing. Benjamin Krick complimented at the event.

‚We are very proud to be the only system provider offering all three variants in passive-house quality at the moment. Once again our role as an innovative trendsetter in the industry has been confirmed.’, rejoices Frank Weiler, Vice president R&D, leading the R&D department since October 2009.
