Generational change for RAICO at A|U|F

Generational change for RAICO at A|U|F

Jonas Reischmann succeeds Manfred Hebel

At this year's general meeting of the recycling initiative A|U|F e.V. (Aluminum and Environment in Window and Facade Construction) on October 23, 2025, a new board was elected. For RAICO, the election marks a generational change in the committee's work: Jonas Reischmann, Head of Sustainability & Quality, is joining the board and taking over the baton from Manfred Hebel.

For over 30 years, A|U|F has been organizing the closed recycling loop for aluminum in the construction industry—a topic that is of central importance to RAICO. With the election of Jonas Reischmann, RAICO remains firmly anchored in the strategic orientation of the initiative. Jonas Reischmann is looking forward to his new role with enthusiasm:

“The recycling and reuse of aluminum has long been a reality at A|U|F. Together with the new board and our members, I would like to actively continue along this path in order to strengthen recycling processes and secure aluminum in the European cycle.”

He succeeds Manfred Hebel. Our former managing director, who continues to support RAICO in an advisory capacity, has stepped down from the A|U|F board after many years of service. He looks back positively on the initiative's development:

“A|U|F is one of the flagship recycling initiatives in the construction sector. As a member of the board, I was delighted to play a small part in this success story and to accompany A|U|F on its highly successful journey.”

Working together for the circular economy

In addition to the new addition of Jonas Reischmann, Thomas Lauritzen was confirmed as Chairman of the Board. The new Board also includes representatives from Windeck Metallbau, Drees & Sommer, HD Wahl, Hydro Building Systems, and Gutmann Bausysteme. Together, they are pursuing the goal of actively promoting the circular economy in window and facade construction and further raising awareness of recycled aluminum.

We would like to thank Manfred Hebel for his many years of service to the association and congratulate Jonas Reischmann on his election!
