THERM+ FS-I convinces the jury
A jury consisting of 20 international first-class architectural offices has intensively analyzed and evaluated all nominated product innovations in 12 categories such as expertise, handling and creative demand: “The winner is RAICO’s THERM+ FS-I”.
The decision of the jury announced by Jürgen Steffens from JSWD Architekten is as follows:
"No other product achieves such a great importance in this category for architects. This vote is simply to explain: A transom-mullion façade is a product of high performance. Its efficiency is primarily the relation between the small surface, that it needs and the physical characteristics that it has regarding noise and thermal insulation. The improvement of such systems concerning the efficiency is of great benefit for building owners and investors. The new steel profile THERM+ FS-I has an integrated threaded tube in the support profile and is applicable without welding, which significantly simplifies the assembly at the construction site, particularly since steel is at advantage over aluminium – with regard to the capacity. Moreover, steel is more energy-efficient than aluminium – both in the production and in the reintegration into the material cycle. The jury and the architects that benefit from the possibilities of slim constructions congratulate the company RAICO on the victory in the category Best Product Innovation in Technology!"
