ELEMENT+ H-I – timber element facade

Product

The concept of the environmentally friendly, modular element façade made of solid timber is based on the proven RAICO THERM+ H-I façade system. Due to the very high level of prefabrication, large projects and time-critical construction sites can be assembled efficiently and just in time. ELEMENT+ H-I also meets strict urban planning requirements regarding ecology and energy efficiency.

Highlights

  • Suitable for large projects due to very high level of prefabrication

  • Optimised for just-in-time assembly
  • Based on the proven RAICO THERM+ H-I façade system
  • Sight-line width frame: 50 mm
  • Possible glazing thickness: 40–64 mm
  • Aluminium savings compared to commercially available aluminium element façade: approx. 60%

The RAICO timber connector TC

The connectors between mullion and transoms on a timber curtain wall must fulfill additional specific requirements. The dead load of the infill units is positioned in front of the timber structure, and the connectors must compensate for this torsional effect in addition to wind pressure and suction forces.

Passive house

The standard THERM+ system can easily be upgraded to passive house certified standard with minimal additional components. Passive house projects can therefore be fitted with energy saving glazing in a generous, cost effective way, independent of their supporting projects.
