Extract from a press release issued by Buthmann Ingenieur-Stahlbau AG in November 2017:
The jury has awarded first place in the ‘Steel Structures’ category of the 2017 German Metal Construction Award to the new reception building of Hanse-Merkur Insurance, which features a modern design and has been executed with technical and craftsmanship excellence.
Buthmann Ingenieur-Stahlbau AG planned, manufactured, assembled and erected the building.
Steel proved to be the ideal structural material for meeting the diverse technical and design requirements. With this award-winning project, the medium-sized steel construction firm has delivered a prestigious entrance solution of the highest quality in terms of design, construction and craftsmanship, whilst demonstrating great flexibility and adherence to deadlines.
“We are delighted to be receiving this coveted award for the second time. It demonstrates the quality and capabilities of our company, but also serves as a special tribute to the craftsmanship of our skilled workers in both production and assembly,” said directors Marco Buthmann and Boris Bitsch.
