Whisky with a sea view: Benbecula Distillery

The Benbecula Distillery is a project that combines tradition and modernity. Where salmon was once processed, the distillery now stands, offering an unrivalled view across the sea thanks to its unique location. A particular eye-catcher is the glass extension in the shape of a lighthouse. It is reminiscent of the Stevenson lighthouses on the Monach Islands and blends harmoniously into the surroundings. From here, visitors can enjoy a stunning view of the wild, undulating landscape. Every year, the Benbecula Distillery produces around 350,000 litres of whisky, which matures in carefully selected bourbon and sherry casks. In this way, craftsmanship, quality and heritage come together to create a whisky that delights visitors.
