RAICO – Down Under.

RAICO Bautechnik’s very first project in Australia has drawn a lot of attention by the press and the market. The new office building ‘Compass House’, built recently in Canberra, Australia’s capital, is one of the first zero energy office buildings on the fifth continent. The concept and its realization with RAICO’s THERM+ façade system in aluminum has convinced, shortly after opening, users of the office space as well as the many visitors interested in the showpiece building.

‚The competent and successful realization of the project, together with Laros Technologies, was our trigger to actively work on the market in Australia and New Zealand in the future.’, explains Wolfgang Elfner, Export Sales Director, pointing out the successful completion of the sales cooperation with Laros Technologies headquartered in Fyshwick, Australia.

A former Director of the Swiss Institute for Solar Technology (SPF) and of the regional certification office for low energy buildings named Minergie, Dr Andreas Luzzi, General Manager of Laros Technologies,  has a lot of experience regarding energetically optimized building shells. Dr Andreas Luzzi: ‘We were convinced right away by the THERM+ façade system because, on the one hand, it offers a comprehensive thermal separation for materials such as steel and wood, and also aluminum. On the other hand, the system fully functions in terms of the direct integration of photovoltaic and solar thermal elements of solar technology. We are very happy to act as the exclusive sales agent of RAICO Bautechnik in Australia and New Zealand.’
